Before opening the MShield report

Two things to know

01

Straight to the point

Bodywork, mechanics, brakes, history: every point checked is dated, rated and can always be photographed. When a repair is coming up, its estimated cost is written in black and white — and if needed, ask your questions straight from the report.

02

Someone stands behind what is written

Publishing an inspection and answering your questions is the dealer's choice. If they use MShield, they are ready to stand by their work — on this vehicle and on the others.

A question about this vehicle? Ask it.

In three steps

You ask your question

Something in the report puzzles you, or you simply want reassurance? Write it down: an email address is enough, and you can also ask to be called back.

The dealer answers you

They receive your question in the MShield Pro app and answer as soon as they have the information: sometimes right away, sometimes after rechecking a point on the vehicle.

The answer is added to the report

You are notified by email, and by phone if you asked for it. The answer is dated and published on the vehicle's page: you can find it again, and the next buyers benefit from it too.

The MShield inspection report

Everything that is checked
is written in one place

The dealer chooses the points to check depending on the vehicle, then publishes them here. The answers to your questions are added afterwards.

Recent diagnostics, backed by as many photos as needed.

A costed estimate of upcoming expenses, built with the dealer.

The same information for every buyer.

Free for the buyer.

On the report, the answer to your question appears without identifying you. If you leave a number to be called back, it goes only to the dealer concerned. We do not resell any data.

The questions we are asked

I was given an ID, what do I do with it?+

Enter it in the field at the top of this page. You go straight to the vehicle's inspection report: the detail of the points checked, and already the answers to the questions of those who came before you.

Who is MShield?+

A personal project led by Roman Melentov (LinkedIn profile), which provides dealers with inspection tools: an app to record the condition of vehicles, and a report page to share with their customers.

Do I have to pay for the service?+

No, never. Reading a report or asking a question costs you nothing: dealers are the ones who subscribe to our tools.

What if the vehicle has no report yet?+

Either your dealer has not published it yet, or they do not use MShield yet. If you are looking for a particular vehicle, you can tell us here and we will come back with hand-picked suggestions.

Who wrote the inspection I received?+

The dealer whose name appears at the top of the page. They choose the points checked and fill in each line themselves: it is their expertise speaking, and their name on the line. MShield provides the tool, and hosts and dates the report.

What happens to my phone number?+

If you wish, it is passed on only to the dealer you contact, so that they can answer you. It is never resold or shared with other professionals, and you can ask for it to be deleted at any time.

How does a dealer become a partner?+

They open a professional account and sign up to our transparency charter, which commits them to declaring what they know about the vehicle's condition and to answering the questions asked on the report page.
