Terms of use
Last updated: 18 September 20261Purpose
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the MShield platform.
MShield is a platform that connects users looking for a vehicle with automotive professionals (hereinafter “dealers”).
2How the service works
The platform is built around three main features:
Vehicle page
- The dealer decides whether or not to publish each report. A published report is public: accessible through the direct link provided by the dealer, but also through the Market catalogue and the dealer's showcase page, and it can be indexed by search engines. An unpublished report cannot be accessed by any means.
- Includes the inspection report (points checked, history, any upcoming work and its estimated cost) and, where applicable, the sale information (price, mileage, warranty).
- Gives access to the contact details of the dealer who produced the report, so that they can be contacted directly.
Request a check
- Available from every vehicle page: the user describes what they would like to have checked.
- The dealer answers by completing the report; the user is notified via MShield.
- Sending the request requires accepting these Terms of Use and consenting to this notification — a mandatory condition for sending the request.

Lets you contact me directly about the platform.
3Nature of the service
MShield acts exclusively as: an intermediary putting parties in touch.
MShield:
- Does not sell vehicles;
- Does not take part in the transaction;
- Is involved in neither payment nor delivery.
Any transaction is concluded directly between the user and the dealer.
The inspection reports displayed on the site are carried out and filled in by the dealer themselves, at the dealership, using a tool provided by MShield. MShield does not carry out these checks itself and does not verify the accuracy of the reports. The same applies to the answers given to check requests made by users: they are written by the dealer, and MShield only hosts and passes on the exchange.
4User commitments
The user undertakes to:
- Provide accurate, honest and complete information about their purchase project (type of vehicle, use, budget, etc.);
- Not misuse the platform, in particular by making fanciful or repeated requests, or requests clearly lacking any real intention to buy;
- Use the platform in good faith and with respect for the time of partner dealers;
- Be solely responsible for any negotiation, commitment or agreement concluded directly with a dealer following the connection made by MShield;
- The user acknowledges that MShield is in no way a party to the discussions or contracts concluded between the user and dealers, and cannot be held liable for the commitments made or for any disputes that may arise from them;
- The user may, at any time, stop using the platform or decline the proposals received, without this entailing any particular obligation on their part.
5Role of dealers
When the user is put in touch with a dealer, the dealer becomes solely responsible for:
- The commercial proposal
- The vehicle offered
- Payment
- Administrative formalities
- Delivery
The services offered (preparation, cleaning, warranties, etc.) are the sole responsibility of the dealer.
The dealer is solely responsible for the content and accuracy of the inspection reports they fill in and publish through the platform.
